Bakary Manneh nasce in Gambia il 6 ottobre 2002. Arriva in Italia all’età di 13 anni, portando con sé il desiderio di costruire una vita migliore e di raccontare, attraverso l’arte, la complessità della migrazione e della ricerca di speranza.

Opera: Speranza in viaggio

L’opera racconta la dura realtà dell’immigrazione dall’Africa all’Europa. Giovani uomini e donne lasciano tutto ciò che conoscono, guidati dalla speranza di una vita più dignitosa, spesso per aiutare le famiglie rimaste indietro.

Non tutti riescono a raggiungere la destinazione: alcuni si arrendono, altri non sopravvivono al viaggio.

Ma Speranza in viaggio è un tributo al coraggio di chi parte e alla forza di chi sogna, nonostante i pericoli e le difficoltà.

È un’opera che invita a riflettere, con empatia, sul dramma umano della migrazione.

Bakary Manneh was born in Gambia on October 6, 2002. He arrived in Italy at the age of 13, carrying with him the hope of building a better life and telling the story of migration through art.

Artwork: Hope on the Journey

The work portrays the difficult reality of migration from Africa to Europe. Young people leave their homeland behind in hopes of offering better living conditions to their families.

Many never reach their destination — some give up, others don’t survive the journey.

Hope on the Journey pays tribute to the courage of those who depart and the resilience of those who dream, despite risks and hardships.

It is an invitation to reflect on the emotional and human weight of migration.

باكاري مانّه وُلد في غامبيا في 6 أكتوبر 2002. وصل إلى إيطاليا في سن 13 عامًا، حاملاً معه رغبة في بناء حياة أفضل وسرد معاناة الهجرة من خلال الفن.

العمل الفني: الأمل في الرحلة

يجسد العمل الواقع القاسي للهجرة من إفريقيا إلى أوروبا. يترك الشباب أوطانهم وأحبّاءهم على أمل أن يؤمّنوا حياة أكثر كرامة لعائلاتهم.

لكن ليس الجميع يصل إلى وجهته؛ بعضهم يستسلم، وبعضهم لا ينجو من الرحلة.

الأمل في الرحلة هو تكريم لهؤلاء الشجعان، ودعوة للتأمل في تعقيدات هذا الواقع الإنساني المؤلم، وفي القوة الكامنة خلف كل حلم.

巴卡里·曼尼于2002年10月6日出生于冈比亚，13岁时抵达意大利，怀揣着通过艺术表达移民故事和希望的愿望。

作品：《旅途中的希望》

本作描绘了从非洲到欧洲移民的艰辛现实。许多年轻人离开家园，希望为亲人提供更有尊严的生活。

但并非每个人都能到达终点，有人中途放弃，有人永远停在了路上。

《旅途中的希望》是对他们勇气的致敬，也是对梦想不灭的赞歌。

它邀请我们用人性的视角重新思考移民的困境与信念。
