Biografia (IT)

Dangyong Liu (Hohhot, 1981) è un artista visivo e scultore cinese che vive e lavora a Roma.

Dopo la laurea in Belle Arti presso la Normal University di Hohhot nel 2004, si trasferisce in Italia e completa un Master in Scultura all’Accademia di Belle Arti di Roma nel 2017.

La sua ricerca indaga il rapporto tra materia, spazio e memoria, con opere che spaziano dalla scultura monumentale all’installazione site-specific.

Ha esposto in mostre personali e collettive in Italia, Francia, Finlandia, Norvegia, Russia, Bolivia e Arabia Saudita.

Tra le esposizioni principali: Passion for Freedom (Royal Opera Arcade Gallery, Londra, 2018).

Collabora anche come curatore e designer per istituzioni cinesi tra Pechino e Jiangxi.

Dangyong Liu (b. 1981, Hohhot, China) is a visual artist and sculptor based in Rome.

After earning a degree in Fine Arts from Hohhot Normal University in 2004, he moved to Italy and completed a Master’s in Sculpture at the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome in 2017.

His work explores the relationship between matter, space, and memory through monumental sculptures and site-specific installations.

He has exhibited in Italy, France, Finland, Norway, Russia, Bolivia, and Saudi Arabia.

Highlights include Passion for Freedom at Royal Opera Arcade Gallery, London (2018).

He also works as a curator and designer in collaboration with Chinese institutions in Beijing and Jiangxi.

دانغيونغ ليو (هوهوت، 1981) فنان بصري ونحّات صيني يقيم ويعمل في روما.

تخرج في الفنون الجميلة من جامعة هوهوت عام 2004، ثم انتقل إلى إيطاليا حيث حصل على درجة الماجستير في النحت من أكاديمية الفنون الجميلة بروما عام 2017.

تتمحور أعماله حول العلاقة بين المادة والفراغ والذاكرة، من خلال منحوتات ضخمة وتركيبات فنية موقعيّة.

شارك في معارض دولية في إيطاليا وفرنسا وفنلندا والنرويج وروسيا وبوليفيا والسعودية.

من أبرز مشاركاته: شغف من أجل الحرية في لندن عام 2018.

كما عمل كقيّم فني ومصمم بالتعاون مع مؤسسات في بكين وجيانغشي.

刘当永（Dangyong Liu），1981年出生于中国呼和浩特，现居意大利罗马，是一位视觉艺术家与雕塑家。

2004年毕业于呼和浩特师范大学美术系，随后前往意大利深造，2017年获罗马美术学院雕塑硕士学位。

其艺术探索围绕材料、空间与记忆的关系，作品涵盖大型雕塑与场域特定装置。

曾于意大利、法国、芬兰、挪威、俄罗斯、玻利维亚与沙特等国展出，代表性展览包括2018年伦敦皇家歌剧拱廊画廊的《为自由而热情》。

他亦担任策展人及设计师，与中国北京与江西的艺术机构有长期合作。
